Chumley Supports Breast Cancer Research
Tuesday, September 3, 2013
Dr. Chumley, Tarriq Al Farrah, Trent Boehm, and Thomas Parnell (a member of the Chumley Lab) sport the pink scrubs in support of Frogs for the Cure. The TCU partnership with Susan G. Komen began in 2006, with the involvement of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the TCU athletic department. TCU athletics sponsored the first ever football game dedicated to the breast cancer cause and benefitting Komen. Now in its 8th year, three students (see below) challenged the student body at TCU to sign-up to be in a music video set to the song Rise Up, by Green River Ordinance. A goal of 2,000 students was set and would be the largest student involvement since the beginning of the music videos in 2010. But, the gauntlet was thrown down to involve 8,000 students, nearly the entire undergrad population at TCU.
